Styron Publishes 2011 Sustainability and CSR Report

Styron, the leading global materials company, has published its 2011 Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report.
This report is the company’s second public report following Styron’s formation as an independent company in 2010.
The report profiles the company’s economic, environmental, health, safety and social performance, as well as how the company’s products help its customers improve their own sustainability.
Highlights in the 2011 report include:
- Continued improvement in the safety performance of the company’s manufacturing sites.
- Completion of ISO 50001 certification for energy management at all Styron sites in Germany.
- Updated graphs on 2011 performance on key safety metrics,
- Additional sustainability success stories.
“Looking to the future, as the number of years we have been in business increases, Styron’s Sustainability/CSR reports will continue to expand,” said Chris Pappas, President and CEO of Styron. “Later this year, we will have access for the first time to full-year data on energy, water, emissions, waste and other metrics, and plan to add sections on these topics in next year’s Sustainability/CSR Report.”
